A Homegrown Fleet with Big Personality
You’ve probably seen them—those charming blue-and-gold trolleys rolling through Estes Park like they popped out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Maybe you’ve waved at one, or even hopped aboard for a tour. But behind the brass rails and leather seats is a local story that’s as handcrafted as the woodwork on the ceiling.
The Estes Park Trolleys aren’t just a business. They’re a labor of love—driven (literally) by entrepreneur and shuttle wizard Nick Cassatt.
It All Started with a “Yes”
Back in 2018, Nick started helping the previous owners of the trolley business. What began as a side hustle turned into a full-fledged enterprise. And now, the trolleys—each with their own name, personality, and route—are a fixture in Estes Park.
From Alberta to the other whimsically named rides in the fleet, each trolley carries a bit of local lore. “They’re all named after famous people from Estes,” Nick told me, standing next to one of his blue wedding trolleys with a grin. “They’re all a little different.”
Tour the Rockies, the Town… or Say “I Do”
The trolley experience isn’t your average ride. These beauties offer daily tours into Rocky Mountain National Park, including a three-hour lower loop tour (twice a day) and a two-hour “Discover Estes” tour through town. It's like those movie star home tours in Beverly Hills—except way better scenery and zero paparazzi.
And then there are the weddings. Yep, weddings. Not just transporting guests, but actual ceremonies. “You can get married on a trolley in the park,” Nick says casually, as if that’s not the coolest thing you’ve heard all week.
He showed me inside Alberta, the leather-seated, brass-accented wedding trolley with fairy lights still hanging. “People decorate however they like. Flowers, lights, whatever fits their vibe.”
A Business Built on Nostalgia—and Big Plans
Nick’s vision for the trolley business goes beyond quaint. He’s got plans to add smaller 14-passenger trolleys that can navigate parts of town the bigger ones can’t reach. “The idea is to grow, but still keep the magic,” he told me.
That means more accessibility, more routes, and more options for weddings, private events, and visitors who just want to soak up Estes Park with a breeze in their hair and mountain views around every corner.
All Aboard
Booking is easy—you can head to estesparktrolleys.com or swing by the Highway 34 office (open 10–2 daily). But more than anything, the trolleys are about connection. They’re about seeing Estes through a different lens—slower, more intentional, and full of charm.
Whether you're planning a big event or just looking to fall in love with Estes all over again, hop aboard. The trolleys are waiting.

Got a story from your trolley ride? Send it in—I’d love to hear it. Until then, I’ll see you around town. Probably waving at a trolley.
